This Privacy Policy explains how Berry Bridge ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use berrybridge.in (the "Platform").

1. Information We Collect

From buyers

When you submit a request for a quote, we collect your name, phone number, and, if you provide it, a description of what you're looking for. We do not require buyers to create an account, and we do not collect buyer email addresses or payment information.

From buyers browsing the Platform

Separately from a quote request, we may show a short pop-up inviting you to share your name and phone number. By checking the consent box, you agree to be contacted by businesses on the Platform in the category you're browsing, and to receive occasional updates from Berry Bridge. This is optional and entirely separate from submitting a quote request — you can still browse the Platform and submit quote requests normally without it.

From businesses

When a business registers, we collect the business name, city, phone number, WhatsApp number, and email address used for login. Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not store card numbers, UPI IDs, or other payment credentials — Razorpay handles that data directly under its own security and compliance standards.

Automatically collected information

We may collect basic technical information such as browser type, device type, and pages visited, for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the Platform, including pages viewed and general interaction patterns. Microsoft Clarity may also record session activity such as clicks and scrolling; it masks the content of form fields by default so that what you type is not recorded. These tools are separate from the buyer and business information described above.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Connect buyer requests with the relevant business
• Connect you with businesses on the Platform in a category you've browsed, and send occasional updates from Berry Bridge, only if you gave explicit consent to this via the browsing pop-up — this is separate from, and does not require, submitting a quote request
• Operate and maintain business accounts, including billing via Razorpay
• Send service-related communications (for example, notifying a business of a new lead, or a buyer confirmation that their request was sent)
• Review and moderate listings
• Improve and secure the Platform

3. How We Share Information

• Buyer information is shared with the specific business the buyer contacted, so that business can respond to the request. This is the core function of the Platform, and buyers should expect the business will reach out by phone or WhatsApp.
• We do not sell buyer or business personal information to third parties.
• We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Platform (for example, our hosting provider, database provider, and payment processor), solely for the purpose of providing their service to us.
• We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Berry Bridge, our users, or the public.

4. Data Retention

We retain buyer request information and business account information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your information as described below.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below. We will respond to verified requests in accordance with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

6. Cookies

The Platform may use basic cookies or similar technologies necessary for the site to function (for example, keeping a business logged in). We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for business use and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect information from, individuals under the age of 18.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including restricting access to buyer and business data so that each business can only see leads submitted to them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
